I am the owner of Lace Em Up. Started in 2020 “Doom’s Year”, when I decided to change careers from Child Care to Corporate living. During my transition I slipped through the cracks and found my true passion. I noticed a lack of resources for texture hair with young children within our communities. I wanted to combine both my specialties - Child Care and natural Hair Care - to bridge the gap for parents who are eager to learn about their youth's hair.

My own Journey started in 2014 when my doll Hazel was born. She entered in this world with a beautiful full head of curls. I instantly thought I needed to embody loving my own crown, so I could teach Hazel the same. Building confidence in you as a parent and your doll, one braid at a time.

Natural hair had it’s own learning curve and I was here for it. One braid at a time I started consistently braiding in 2014. I then began researching and investing into proper hair care and became natural. No chemicals or heat for 4 years! Every day was a learning experience that helped me understand hair fabrics and share my knowledge & talents.

I am so excited to start my new journey with 369 Studios as Resident Box Braider. This space will not only provide a warm and comforting environment for my current clients. It will also give me the space needed to expand & continue building a better community. I would love to spread the Education of Healthy Hair and even a healthier you!
