When scholars have successfully completed the entirety of the program, they will have the following skills: personal hygiene, hair care including styling and maintenance, how to build a portfolio, and project manage creative shoots. Scholars will also have an in depth understanding of the history and importance of hair and self expression in many cultures.

Classes are held Monday through Thursdays 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Morning snack and Lunch is provided for all students. Transportation is not provided and classes will be held at the salon in Ne Minneapolis. All tools and equipment are provided. You will have the option of purchasing a kit for at home! If you need help arranging ride share please select/mark on the registration form so we can help provide a solution!

“Remove the kinks from your mind not your hair”
This class takes naturally styling a step further. This class is for advanced students who want to learn protective and hot tool styling.
Boxer Feed In Braids (2 Big Braids)

Dreads (Re-Twist Starting Options)
We teach students how to properly prep hair and execute styles. Scholars have the options to practice on manikins that are provided. Knowing the basics of hair and understanding that the goal is not to just “blowout” or “straighten” hair is important. The class embodies love and self care, as well as focusing on expression. While learning multiple ways to express and create different styles/looks it is very important the student understands before class that hot tools are not a everyday tool! Not only do we cover protective styling, but hot tools are also introduced. Heat protection and safety are very important practices that will be taught thoroughly. If you find your child practicing different natural styles or even struggling to learn new styles come up with new ideas this is the perfect class!
Welcome to a learning experience that will take you on an in depth learning journey that focuses on self love, self care, and understanding. Throughout this 10 week experience, scholars will complete an in depth series of learning about cosmetology that incorporates:
Self- reflection, History, Awareness, Confidence, Hands-on learning, Project Management, Time Management, Creativity, Self- Care
